Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co is Broome’s hottest new venue taking the town by storm (or more accurately, cyclone!). Paying homage to the original café and restaurant, The Zookeepers Store, operated by Willie Creak Pearls, Zookeepers is a vibrant new pop-up that boasts a relaxed dining atmosphere, electrifying cocktail list and mouthwatering menu to boot.

The Zookeepers hospitality team consists of some of Broome’s most awarded hospitality staff, including several world class mixologists led by Eduardo Scarano (Eddy) an awardwinning flair bartender.

Eddy is the master behind Zookeepers’ extensive cocktail list, crafted from locally harvested native Indigenous botanicals and inspired by the rich flavours and colours of the beautiful Kimberley landscape.

Zookeepers’ head chef is Igor Rossi although many know him as Broome's culinary Michelangelo, whose experience, passion and craftsmanship are showcased through the incredible menu at Zookeepers. Fusing both fresh local ingredients and native Indigenous botanicals into his dishes, Igor and his team of chefs have captured the essence of the Kimberley in a way that not only looks good, but tastes great too!

Most of the botanicals infused into its food and beverage menus are sourced in collaboration with local Nyul Nyul women, Cynthia Winawarl. Cynthia has influenced and educated the team on the intense flavors, health benefits, and the rich history behind all the native herbs and botanicals that can be in the bush.

Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co, the first official venue operated by the brewing company, is receiving rave reviews from tourists and Broome locals alike. Taking things up a notch, Zookeepers are extremely proud to have secured the catering contract for the most iconic event in the WA tourism calendar, the Shinju Matsuri, Sunset Long Table Dinner.

The popularity of Zookeepers by Spinifex Brewing Co is a promising sign of good things to come, with the group’s flagship Cable Beach, 6HL Microbrewery and Alehouse opening in late 2023.

The highly anticipated venue, operating from 7am to 10pm, seven days per week will feature multiple rotating taps, a state of the art woodfired pizza oven, children’s playground, giant LED entertainment screen and stage, and will operate a coffee and baked goods service.
