Two Ships. One Unrivalled Adventure.

True North Adventure Cruises offers something truly rare: access to parts of Australia so remote, so breathtaking, they remain untouched by mass tourism — and unreachable by conventional travel. From the ancient river systems and red cliffs of the Kimberley to the turquoise atolls of the Rowley Shoals, this is luxury that leads with experience, discovery, and connection.

With two expedition ships — True North and True North II — we go beyond where larger vessels can. Every day offers a new frontier to explore, with multiple adventures running simultaneously, so you never feel like a tourist — only a traveller in the truest sense.

Purpose-Built for Exploration

Both vessels are custom designed to access wilderness areas that others simply can’t reach. Shallow drafts mean we can nose right into river mouths and remote bays. And with six adventure boats on True North and five on True North II, guests enjoy multiple off-ship excursions every day — from fishing and hiking to scenic cruising and cultural discovery — in small, intimate groups.

• True North accommodates 36 guests in 18 cabins, with six adventure boats and an onboard helicopter for heli-fishing, scenic flights, and picnics in places no one else can land.

• True North II is equally refined, carrying 20 guests in 10 cabins, with five adventure boats, onboard helicopter and the same hallmark True North experience.

On both ships, our all-Australian crew includes expert guides, naturalists, and an acclaimed chef team — all dedicated to making each day unforgettable.

The Kimberley — Australia’s Last Great Wilderness

From March to October, we operate along the Kimberley coast — a vast, ancient region shaped by tides, time, and Indigenous heritage.

Guests witness the thundering spectacle of King George Falls, drift past the rising wonder of Montgomery Reef, explore dramatic landscapes like the Prince Regent River, and discover rock art galleries that pre-date history. Whether you’re fishing for barramundi, birdwatching with our naturalist, or enjoying a heli-picnic at the top of a waterfall, each day delivers something profound — and personal.

With so many adventure boats on board, guests never wait their turn. Everyone can choose their own pace, every single day.

Rowley Shoals — The Coral Frontier

In October and November, both ships voyage to the Rowley Shoals, a trio of untouched coral atolls 300 kilometres off the coast.

This is one of the world’s most exclusive snorkelling and diving destinations — with fewer than 200 visitors a year.

Expect kaleidoscopic coral gardens, swim-throughs, drop-offs, and drift snorkels through coral channels teeming with marine life. Warm, crystal-clear water and zero crowds make it feel like your own private reef.

More Than a Cruise

This isn’t a floating hotel or a sightseeing checklist. It’s an all-in, up-close adventure shared with a small group of like-minded explorers. No waiting in line. No rigid itineraries. Just the freedom to roam, the luxury of space, and the rare privilege of experiencing wilderness without compromise.

True North and True North II deliver the rarest of luxuries: time, space, and the freedom to explore.
