Q: What was your favorite wedding moment? Seeing Malcom’s face as I was presented to him for marriage was my favorite moment. Also, Malcom’s mom gave me one of his baby pictures moments before the wedding began.
Q: What flavor was your cake? The funny thing is I did not taste the cake beforehand. I relied on Angela and went from there. Harriet and I took some time to design the cake over the phone. She drew over 10 designs for me to select from. We decided to go with a design that incorporated the wedding invitations. On our way to Memphis for the wedding, Malcom and I had a slight detour and missed our tasting. So, I just called Harriet in the car and told her I like Lemon-Lime, Crushed Mango, Lemon-Zest, and a hint of Rum or something. I had to trust it would work out. She alternated the layers. It was the best tasting cake EVER! Our grandmothers were amazed. We were so happy to include them in our cake cutting!

Q: What was your favorite part about planning your wedding? The best part was simply growing closer to Malcom and learning more about how we relate to one another. In terms of the actual event, it was such a relief having Angela to rely on for suggestions and feedback. She was truly a focused and topnotch event planner who reminded us about the importance of creating an experience to remember. Across the miles, Angela was able to sort through all of our ideas and arrive at a comprehensive and executable plan. She works with the best vendors and leaves no stone unturned!
Q: Where did you go on your honeymoon? When Angela suggested we do a honeymoon registry, we never dreamed someone would opt to bless us with the entire honeymoon. My aunt Denise surprised us with a wonderful weeklong stay at the Ko Olina Resort in Oahu, HI. It was such a relaxing and inspirational time, I did not want to leave.
