HOUS 1 Now begin looking at the 1st house on page 71, the top house of the North Indian horoscope in our example Pisces is rising or ascending. By comparing with page 117 we find that Jupiter rules Pisces and that Jupiter in the Birth Chart (Rasi) is located in House 3 on page 71. (page 3 in the print-out). From there proceed to page 169 to read the text under the 3rd house and do not forget to make your notes again for the first house. HOUSE 2 Now turn to page 3 in the print-out and page 71, again and look at House 2- Aries. On page 117 we find that Aries is ruled by Mars and we return to page 71 (page 3 in the print-out) to locate Mars. We will find that the planet is in the 10th house. Now we should go to page 171 for Lord of the 2nd house being in the 10th house and so on. HOUSE 3 = Taurus = Venus Ruler or Lord. Venus is placed in the 1st house, see page 171 under 1st.
