• STDs can affect any sexually active person. Sexually active people under 25 are recommended to be screened annually for certain STDs.

• Males and females are recommended to have STD testing done if they have had more than one partner since the last time they were tested.

How STDs Spread9

1. Any sexual contact with an infected person (oral, anal, vaginal)

2. Skin contact with infected skin areas

3. Contact with infected body fluids: blood (HIV, Hep), semen, vaginal fluids, breast milk (HIV) and saliva (rarely HSV, inconclusive HPV)

4. Infected mother to baby during pregnancy or birth
