PLAY TENNIS THE STANFORD WAY!

Enjoy top-flight instruction from the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and long-time Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. Youth classes (8-14yrs) of 3-6 players will consist of eight 55 minute lessons. Terrific Tiny Tennis classes will consist of eight 40 minute lessons. Students provide own rackets.

IMPORTANT: In case of rain, contact the recreation dept. at 650 780-7311 within the hour before scheduled starting time for class status or check with the instructor by visiting WhitlingerSarsfieldTennis.com for contact information. If at any time the instructor is absent, report to the next scheduled lesson for makeup date.

NO POSTPONEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE INITIATED BY THE INSTRUCTOR OR THE REC. DEPT.

Unless notified to the contrary, make up lessons will be forwarded to the next normal meeting day and time. However, Fridays (for weekday lessons) or Sundays (for weekend lessons) may be used at the instructor’s discretion. NOTE: If an earlier class is postponed due to rain, all the following classes may also be postponed that day even if the courts become dry.

Terrific Tiny Tennis

AGE 5-7

Play FUN activities and games on the “42 ft.” court with low compression tennis balls. Designed to enhance athletic and skill development in a success oriented environment. Small group lessons, only 2-6 students per class! We recommend the 21” to 23” rackets.

Quickstart Tennis

AGE 8-10

Special Service, only 3-6 players! Learn simple & efficient techniques on the “60 ft. court” with low compression tennis balls. Emphasis on control, consistency, sportsmanship, & FUN! In general, we recommend the 25” racket.

Junior Novice Tennis

AGE 11-14

Special Service, only 3-6 players! Develop the essential techniques with emphasis on control, depth, and direction. Lessons will also incorporate rules, sportsmanship, and basic doubles play.

INDIVIDUAL TENNIS & PICKLEBALL LESSONS

Personal and semi-private lessons (1-4 players) taught by the staff of Stanford Hall of Famer John Whitlinger and long-time Stanford/USPTA Pro Tom Sarsfield. All ages welcome, beginners to advanced.

Participants must then pay the recreation department and bring a copy of the receipt to the instructor on the day of the first lesson.

Spinas Park Ct. #1 (Fridays 9am-12pm)
