Virginia Hungate-Hawk makes marks in her etchings that accumulate and coalesce to become larger configurations. In this work, the marks assemble as a whole, but would not be without each fragment, each delicate line. A printmaking instructor at Pratt, Virginia has a MFA in Printmaking from the University of Notre Dame and a BA in Studio Art and Geography from Macalester College. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
