MORE THAN PARKS(?) Frederick Law Olmsted, Jr. GREENMOUNT AVENUE The Olmsted Brothers 1904 park system(brown) plan was a significant milestone in the physical development of 20th century Baltimore. Solicited and paid for by the Municipal Art Society, the plan was quickly adopted in 1904 by a recently revamped Board of Park Commissioners that quickly implemented many of its recommendations.

BALTIMORE WOOD PROJECT Through the Baltimore Wood Project, Forest Service Research & Development (R&D) and State & Private Forestry (S&PF) are working together with partners in using urban wood as a catalyst toward achieving economic, social, and environmental sustainability goals. Rethinking wood waste streams can save money, create jobs, provide green materials and beautifully reclaimed products, help transform blight into green space, and help support the U.S. wood industry while creating a more sustainable future.
NEIGHBOURHOOD IMPACT INVESTMENT FUND We are a mission-driven investment fund dedicated to delivering capital and promoting inclusive, equitable growth in Baltimore’s historically disinvested neighborhoods. We seek to support communities through loans and investments that can accelerate community revitalization, catalyze business activity and provide greater economic opportunity for residents.
