Windsor Police Department Mission Statement: “Make a difference every day..”
POLICE
The Windsor Police Department is located at 200 North 11th Street, adjacent to the Community Recreation Center, and is led by Chief Rick Klimek. The department is comprised of the patrol division, Community Engagement Team (CET), Detectives, School Resource Officer (SRO), Traffic Safety Unit (TSU), Community Service Officers (CSO), Code Enforcement, administration, school crossing guards and volunteers. Officers also participate in several collateral duties, such as bike patrol and the Warrant Service Team, which are designed to increase public interaction, prevent crime and improve public safety. The Windsor Police Department has experienced significant growth over the last few years and continues to expand in order to meet the needs of our community while maintaining the excellent level of service, security and safety our citizens value. The department offers several community programs designed to empower members and promote individual awareness such as: Neighborhood Watch, Operation ID, Crime Stoppers, Safe Halloween, National Night Out, Santa Cops, a Community Safety Program and a civilian ride-along program.
