Welcome to Windsor
On behalf of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce…
Welcome to windsor
Whether you're visiting our town for the first time or have lived here for years, we welcome you and hope you enjoy your time here. Nestled between the Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and the great prairies of the high plains, Windsor has become the premier destination to live, work and play.
Conveniently located between Denver, Colorado, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, our charming community has a wonderful variety of shopping and dining, breweries and distilleries, and a mix of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities.
Central to our community is Boardwalk Park, home to great festivals, concerts, and our summertime Farmers Market. It’s also home to our museums where visitors can step back in time and learn about Windsor’s early history or visit an exhibit. Anchored by Windsor Lake, it’s a great place for boating, fishing, swimming and biking.
There is much to be proud of and thankful for in Windsor. We are consistently named one of the safest communities in Colorado, and are often ranked as one of the best places to raise a family or retire. As one of the most desirable communities in Colorado, Windsor has experienced unprecedented growth. We have a strong local economy with a diverse business and industry base resulting from our town’s focus on civic pride and quality development. Our town leaders have worked diligently to reap the benefits of growth while proactively managing its accompanying challenges.
Our Comprehensive Plan, Roadway Improvement Plan and Strategic Plan, are a few of the guiding documents that outline Windsor’s direction. We practice thoughtful, proactive growth management and land use planning, creating a solid foundation and infrastructure for generations to come. This is key and important to me, a fourth generation Windsorite.
Partnering organizations such as the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, play a key role in our town’s initiatives. They foster a sense of business community, help us identify emerging leaders, and advocate on behalf of their business members.
The people of Windsor are smart, progressive, and involved, and they contribute to a positive sense of community that exhibits pride in our Town. Together we will build a stronger community and make our visons a reality, while preserving the small-town feel we all know and love. That’s Windsor, the small town with a proud past and brilliant future. We could not be more pleased that you are here!
Respectfully,
Kristie Melendez

Mayor, Town of Windsor
