About The Project

A community centre called COM-PHLU-(U)NITY is situated in Thalat Phlu, Thon Buri, Bangkok's busiest commercial district. T he location where there are several activities, a wide variety of foods, and different historical backgrounds all in one location. Meanwhile, this location is already occupied by restaurants and food stands; hence, they lacked space to accommodate activity in this area.

As a result, this community centre was created with the intention of assisting residents in organizing events for both locals and visitors to the area.

Site Analysis

The community centre's location is shown in Fig. 1 and is surrounded by a number of routes: Bangkok Yai Canel is at the top of the site, Ratchadaphisek Road is overpassed to the left, Thoet Thai Road is at the bottom of the site, and Trian Station is close to Soi Liep Thang Rotfai.

As seen in Fig. 2, there is less greenery than there ought to be in the area surrounding the site. Since there is less open space due to the near proximity of all the buildings, people who live in this area can feel suffocated.
