oi Jeon (revolving) Moo Sool (martial art) is a form of self-defense for both men and women regardless of age. This is a type of martial arts which is focused on using the opponent’s power against him by using turning techniques. It’s gentle, and almost effortless which makes it suitable for even those who are not very strong. Swiftly countering the attack, breaking the balance, and pinning the opponent into submission using circular movements; Hoi Jeon Moo Sool is a defensive martial art specializing in circular trapping blocks, wristlocks, arm pin, and unbalancing 42 | PowerUp | October 2016

This makes Hoi Jeon Moo Sool a highly refined and specialized self defense system that not only enables one to defeat the enemy but also to control him. The director of this esteemed school: Faisal M. Taqi is a 6-dan black belt with 30 years of experience. He is certified as a Hoi Jeon Moo Sool instructor, an International Hoi Jeon Moo Sool Referee, a Certified National Coach, and a Sports Psychology graduate. He has been a World Champion in Mexico (2004) winning 4 golds and 1 silver; a World

TUKI Champion in the USA (2000), winning 2 golds, 1 silver, and 3 bronzes; and a World Champion in Brazil (1998), winning 1 gold, 3 silvers, and 2 bronzes. He has also led a Kum Sool Do (sword course) to Interior Special forces. HJMS offers classes to children from four years old and above, to adults in all categories. A registration fee of 10BD (including 1 textbook and a T-shirt). The uniform costs BD 30 and after that each class costs BD 5, while a membership of one month is BD 35.
