The opening of the 38,800 square foot multi-million dollar historically renovated dining and entertaining complex The Kress, marks Visco Entertainment Collection’s official grand entrance into Hollywood. For over 59 years this incredible art deco structure was home to the landmark flagship location for Frederick’s of Hollywood. Two years after Frederick’s closed its doors in 2003, The Kress stepped in to take this historical masterpiece back to its original 1934 architectural brilliance. Through the many delicate phases of unveiling and refurbishing this gorgeous venue to its true grace, The Kress proudly maintains the original 1930’s marble stairway, brass railings, ornate Italian-designed ceiling and an art deco façade. To honor the building’s significant Hollywood history, Viscuso commissioned Frederick’s of Hollywood to design the uniforms for the dancers at the club. Also as part of his plan to maintain the building’s historical status, Mr. Viscuso chose the name The Kress as homage to the structure’s original tenant and owner, S.H. Kress and Co. a nationally-recognized retail chain which operated until 1981. By observing the “Guidelines for the Treatment of Historical Structures” set forth by the Secretary of the Interior, Mr. Viscuso has demonstrated his commitment to contribute to the revitalization on Hollywood Boulevard and the entire Hollywood community. ELLIOTT’S Oyster House, 1201 Alaskan Way, Pier 56, Seattle, WA Going to Seattle and not having a seafood dinner would be like going to Hawaii and not eating pineapple. With the entire Pacific Ocean at their door, Seattle's restaurants serve up the ocean's fresh caught bounty with Northwest flair. Here are seven of my favorite places in the downtown area. Elliott's Oyster House (Pier 56 off Alaskan Way). Eat them raw, fried, or in succulent sauces, oysters are the specialty. With its 21 foot long oyster bar, Elliott's is rated by Fortune magazine as one of the top five oyster bars in the nation. In addition to its 30 varieties of oyster, Elliott's is famous for its Dungeness crab, Alaskan halibut, rockfish, Pacific finfish, and Northwest salmon as well. While you enjoy your choice from an extensive white wine list, take in the view from Pier

AQUAGRILL 210 Spring St. (Sixth Ave.) New York, NY 10012, 212-274-0505 I love SOHO in NYC and I also love Aquagrill. Aquagrill exceptionally fresh seafood is served in this pastel hued dining room on a pleasant SoHo corner that feels like an update of a seaside restaurant (we love the tacky but somehow appropriate shell-covered light fixtures). Appetizers include a luscious warm octopus salad, supernal abalone sashimi with spicy eggplant and an ever-changing selection of fresh Atlantic and Pacific coast oysters. Pay attention to executive chefowner Jeremy Marshall's specialties, especially the grilled Atlantic salmon with a falafel crust and the plump seared sea scallops with crabmeat polenta; the kitchen's version of bouillabaisse is among the best this side of Paris. If you don't appreciate exotic preparations (or you're on a diet), you can order just about anything grilled, poached or roasted. Desserts are rich and frivolous

Choose from the likes of Chilean sea bass, stir-fried shrimp and scallops, seared Creole seasoned salmon, Bahamian fish chowder, grilled Atlantic salmon, and grilled yellow fin tuna. Steaks can also be had, and live jazz is a treat in the bar most nights. Valet parking available.

AME St. Regis Hotel, San Francisco 689 Mission St. (Third St.), San Francisco, CA 94105 415-284-4040 | Noodles and broths with eggs, an abundance of crustaceans, lightlydressed raw fish---the similarities between Japanese and Italian cuisine are striking. At Ame, husband-and-wife team Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani of St. Helena favorite, Terra, manage to fuse and play upon the flavors of both. Standouts from the sparkling sashimi menu include delicate sea bream atop rich monkfish liver for a startling contrast. The cuisine is light and flavorful. The Ame was truly a delightful experience.

Steaks take center stage, of course, and you can choose from a range of cuts and sizes. Side dishes are also noteworthy, going beyond run-of-themill salads and baked potatoes to include creamed spinach and walnut-raisin bread. If you want something lighter, opt for the Lobster Bar downstairs, which offers the featured crustacean along with yellow fin tuna, almond-crusted swordfish and grilled sea scallops. The wine list is excellent.

The atmosphere is as chilled out and relaxed as the fish on the counter. Fishworks does seem to attract a certain crowd of folk, mid-thirties foodies who really appreciate good, simply cooked food. The buzz of gossipy chat perforates the laid back atmosphere and the staff are a genuinely friendly bunch who have more fishy knowledge than Neptune himself.

Le Grand Venise, Paris When in Paris you have to visit the Le Grand Venise. The name should tell you to expect Italian food, and Le Grand Venise provides some of the best you'll ever have the joy of tasting. This romantic restaurant located in the 15th arrondissement is adorned with fresh flowers and fine attunements which only serve to heighten the pleasure of the dining experience. Keeping true to the Italian way of life, the restaurant is closed the entire month of August. Le Grand Venise

Another winner in the exclusive chain of worldwide restaurants is housed in the giant white stone Armani World on Via Manzoni. Waif-like models and fashionistas concerned with their waistlines can enjoy the stylish softly lit design, whilst nibbling now famous dishes like black cod in miso sauce as well as sushi and sashimi - or sipping sake with added gold leaf.

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club If you’re vacationing in Dubai you have to visit Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht club. After you work up an appetite playing golf go have an excellent seafood meal in the beautiful aquarium restaurant. Tables are arranged around an enormous saltwater aquarium which houses an impressive army of colorful and tropical sea life. Take your pick from an impressive menu of imaginatively cooked and well-presented seafood dishes, which come accompanied with some exceptionally tasty sauces.
