Thecia Jenkins

Thecia Jenkins is an international speaker, trainer and coach and is passionate about working with women and organizations whose mission to equip girls and women to live a life without violence, have access to options that lead to economic security and experience happiness.

For the last thirty years she assisted women heal from the trauma of domestic and sexual violence as an advocate and coach. She has developed programs focusing on self-esteem, starting a home based business, and healthy relationships.

She is the owner of I Am BOLD, LLC, a personal and professional development company. Thecia works with non-profits and small businesses internationally and provides training on gender-based violence, emotional intelligence, diversity, and public speaking. Thecia Jenkins is the Training Director with the Harris County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council in Houston. She oversees curriculum development, community outreach and training for law enforcement, healthcare providers, educators, corporate, clergy, social services and communities to raise awareness about recognizing, responding and referring victims of domestic violence to increase access to services and safety.

As a gender-based expert, she consulted on the reality show “The Book of John Gray” on the Oprah Winfrey Network and is an expert witness on domestic violence cases.

She was a featured speaker at the inaugural Emotional Intelligence Summit in Ghana (West Africa) and is currently co-authoring EQuip To Lead which will be released this fall.

She is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University and hold certifications in Diversity, Emotional Intelligence, DiSC (behavioral styles), Mediation and Coaching. Her favorite quote is “No significant learning occurs without a relationship.” by Ruby Payne, Educator.
