For the new Kindle Touch release Amazon has also added a new sleeve cover to their list of covers. Along with the three styles of cases, each version comes in a number of colors. The three styles of covers Amazon is offering are a standard leather Kindle Touch cover, a lighted leather cover and a sleeve cover. Below is a brief review of the three covers. The leather Kindle Touch case by Amazon is made of real leather. The newest addition to the leather case is the formfitting harness system. Instead of using straps around the corners, the cover itself is designed to fit perfectly around the device. In all there are four colors availableblack, brown, green and purple. Amazon has also designed the cover to be both thin and lightweight. The second case style is the Amazon Lighted Touch Cover. It offers the same look of the leather cover with additional functionality. The lighted cover for the Kindle 3 was by far one of the most popular and reviewed covers for that version. Based on the new design this lighted cover is sure to be even better. The placement of the LED reading light makes the case more compact and lightweight than the past version. The light add less than one half ounce to the cover's weight. The case's reading light is position directly above the Kindle and folds out when in use. To keep the cover lightweight, it is powered by the Touch's battery. This is what also allows the cover to remain slim and formfitting. The lighted leather Kindle Touch cover is available in all the same colors as the leather version. The four colors again are black, brown, green and purple. The last Touch case, which is new to Amazon's offerings is the Amazon Zip Sleeve. This Touch case is the lightest Kindle Touch case Amazon offers and also the lightest available for the Touch. It is about half the weight of the lighted Touch case. Sleeves are fairly simple and made for protecting your device while it is not in use. It unzips making it easy to slide your Touch in and out of the cover. The Amazon Zip Sleeve has different colors than the other cases. The colors available are red, blue, charcoal, graphite and green.
