Storm causes brief power outage High winds, rain and snow in a fast-moving storm Wednesday, January 25, knocked out power to more than 2,500 Powder River Energy meters in the Sundance area and areas of rural Weston County. According to PRECorp Chief Operating Officer Les Penning, the high winds impacted a transmission line near Osage and its connecting substations went dark around 7:30 p.m. PRECorp linemen responded immediately and service was restored to most customers at approximately 8:15 p.m. Rural electric customers are urged to stay away from all downed power lines and to call

1-888-391-6220 if they experience an unplanned power outage. Please have information about

your location and any sights or sounds you observed just before the power outage.

For more information about the status of PRECorp outages, planned and unplanned, go to www.precorp.coop and click on the Twitter feed or call 1-888-391-6220.
