Scharlotte D. Muller Scharlotte D. Muller, age 75 of Mount Vernon, Ind., died Monday afternoon Dec. 13, 2010, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born in Posey County on June 10, 1935, the daughter of Louis J. and Myrtle Mildred (Kinder) Kaffenberger. She married Leo V. Muller on Dec. 30, 1955, at St. Matunt Vernon. thews Catholic Church in Mount Mrs. Muller had worked at Tygert Funeral Home in Mount Vernon for several years. She loved to crochet and go camping. She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Mount Vernon. She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Leo Ray and Phyllis Muller of Mount Vernon, Bill and (the late Rebecca) Muller and significant other, Pam Wood of Mount Vernon, James and Sherri Muller of Norris City, Ill., Allen Muller of Mount Vernon and Gerald of Evansville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Delorse and (the late, Faustino B.) Mendoza of Eldorado, Ill., Linda and Wendell Carroll and Melody and John Henderson of Mount Vernon; 23 grandchildren, one honorary grandson, John Alldredge, 25 greatgrandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis A. Kaffenberger of Mount Vernon; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Eugene Miller of Bakersfield, Calif,. and Wanda and Ronald Marx of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leo. A funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday Dec. 16, 2010, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Mount Vernon with burial in Parklawn Cemetery in Evansville. Visitation was held from 3 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. Fourth St. in Mount Vernon. Ruth L. Batey Ruth L. Batey, 90 of M Mount Vernon, Ind., died T Thursday night at VNA C Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. She was b born on Oct. 31, 1920, in Mtount Vernon, the d daughter of Rufus and Este (Goodson) Wells. She tell m married Leonard Ricketts, th then Tommie Batey and hey preceded her in death. they Mrs. Batey retired from the Housekeeping Dept. at St. Mary’s Hospital and had worked at Exylin Manufacturing and a drycleaners in Mount Vernon. She was a member of Harvestime Temple and had attended Oxford Church while living in Florida with Ken and Mary. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Mary Ricketts of Mount Vernon; one daughter, Linda Walls of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren, Tammy Rickard, Teresa Dittemore, Tony Ricketts, Todd Ricketts, Penny K. Guess, Rick Guess, Matt Walls and Gerald Walls; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Friemiller of Evansville. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter in infancy, Ruth Imogene Ricketts; and two sisters, Lucy Wade and Elnora Jane Dutschke. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at the Austin-Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Earl Eugene Craig, 69, of Mount Vernon, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center. He was born on January 22, 1941 in New Harmony, Ind., to Dorris Earl and Juanita Mae (Bullock) Craig. Earl retired from Lloyd Schoenheit Track and Tractor Service in 1985 where he was a dozer operator in the oil fields. He was a member of the Keck Gonnerman Antique Association. Earl loved his old tractors and enjoyed caring for his cattle. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Irma K. Kuhn in 2001. Earl is survived by his wife of 46 years, Flora (Ayers) Craig; sons, Michael, Roger, James, and William Craig; brothers, Robert, Lloyd, and David Craig; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St. in Mount Vernon with burial to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Cornelius Key Cornelius Key, age 59 of Mount Vernon, Ind., died Tuesday afternoon December 14, 2010, at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville. He was born February 18, 1951 in Mount Vernon the son of James Cornelius and Future Mae (Lee) Key. He married Helen Blazier on November 12, 1993. Key had worked at ADM Milling. He was a United States Marine veteran. He loved to play pool and was a member of Harvestime Temple Church in Mount Vernon. He is survived by two sons, Bobby Key of Mount Vernon and Justin Givens of Evansville; one daughter, Rachel Meriwether of Evansville; five grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Alroy and Mary Key of Mount Vernon and Spencer Ray Key of Evansville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene and Carl Crenshaw of Evansville, Brenda and Lance Givens of Evansville, Valorie and Marion Payne of Evansville and Nadra and Anthony Jelks of Indianapolis. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday Dec. 18, 2010 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mount Vernon with the Rev. Mark Tabor officiating. Eugene Andrew Fehrenbacher Eugene Andrew Fehrenb bacher, 65, of Mount Vern non, Indiana, passed away p peacefully Friday, Dec. 17, 2 2010. Eugene worked as a M Maintenance Planner for G General Electric, retiring a after 35 years. After his reti tirement, he enjoyed workin part-time with his coing workers at J.E. Shekell. Euge Eugene was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Legion of Mary and Knights of Columbus. He volunteered at Life Choice Maternity & Youth Home, and St. Ben’s Youth Group, where he was a project leader for 9 out of 11 annual mission trips. Eugene is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jackie (Keil) Fehrenbacher, of Mount Vernon, Ind., children, Brent Fehrenbacher, (Jennifer) of Evansville, Ind., Jill Fehrenbacher, of Indianapolis, Ind., Jonathon Fehrenbacher, of Florence, Italy, Aaron Fehrenbacher, of Evansville, Ind., sisters, Marilyn Holzmeyer (Roger), of Ft. Branch, Ind., Darlene Lingle (Jim), of Henderson, Ky.; and grandchildren; Luke and Landon Fehrenbacher. Nieces and nephews also survive. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Elizabeth (Pfeiffer) Fehrenbacher.
