OBITUARIES Henry Beuligmann Henry Joe Beuligmann, 89, of Poseyville, Indiana, born to Henry and Frances (Dunkel) Beuligmann on July 12, 1925, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Care in Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from Owensville High School in 1943. In 1947, his family moved to Poseyville, Indiana and established the family farm. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Virginia Bender and together they raised a large and loving family. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and served on the parish council as well as numerous other committees. In 2004, he and Virginia received the Brute award. Henry was also a highly progressive and respected farmer. He was the recipient of the John C. Straub award for land conservation in 1976. Henry loved to read and his most valued possession was his mind. He was always ready to share something interesting that he had read. He also had a great sense of humor and often cut out comic strips to share with whoever visited him. Surviving are his five sons: Joe (Donna), Paul (Tonja), Fred (Susan) and John Beuligmann all of Poseyville, Indiana and Neal (Rhonda) Beuligmann of New Harmony, Indiana; two daughters: Anne (Doug) Moe of San Jose, California and Jane (Terry) Gibbs of Poseyville, Indiana; a brother: Eugene (Betty) Beuligmann of Evansville, Indiana; a sister: Amelia ‘Dolly’ Elizabeth Butler of Wadesville, Indiana; grandchildren: Mike (Ellen), Brian (Ellen), Jason (Ann), Ryan (Sarah), Chad, Kristen (Jordan Raben), Kendall, Nora, Jeremy (Kelly), Kevin (Laura), Jenna and Travis (Lexie Holzmeyer) Beuligmann, Mallory (Josh) Hoefling, Kayla (Zack) George, Julie (John) Zeunik, Lindsey (Dan) Bowers, Megan (Nick) Cullum, Amanda (Nick) Sollman, Isaac, Lauren and Nolan Gibbs, Mary Beth (Carl) Seib, Nathan, Sara and Alex Moe and 27 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 57 years: Virginia (Bender) Beuligmann; a daughter: Mary Beth Beuligmann; an infant son: Robert Allen Beuligmann; sisters: Cecelia Ann Beuligmann and Helen Nurrenbern; daughter-in-law: Monica Beuligmann and a granddaughter: Lisa Ann Beuligmann. Ervin Renschler Ervin L. Renschler, 89, died on April 3, 2015 at Solarbron Terrace in Evansville, Ind. He was born on March 12, 1926 in Mount Vernon, Ind., to Henry and Bertha (Sailor) Renschler. He was a 1943 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. After retiring from the US Postal Service after a 33 year career, he was employed by Dausmann Motors and served as a school bus driver. He served on the board of the Mount Vernon Housing Authority for 18 years, first being appointed in 1986. He was a Past Worshipful Master of Beulah Lodge 578, member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Evansville, Sunbeam Chapter of Eastern Star 1, and Hadi Shrine Temple, where he was a member of the Hospital Transport Staff. At the time of death, he was the oldest living Past Master of Beulah Lodge. Ervin took an active role in scouting and served in various capacities including Scoutmaster of Troop 475 and leading two contingents of Scouts to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He was honored with Wabash District’s Outstanding Scoutmaster Award and the Daniel Carter Beard Masonic Scouter Award. A dedicated volunteer of the American Red Cross, he was an aphaeresis blood donor and was named volunteer of the year in 2009. Ervin’s church affiliation was with Trinity United Church of Christ where he was a lifelong member, having been confirmed in 1940. He had served on the church council as president and board member, had taught Sunday school, and been youth advisor. He enjoyed camping and traveling, having attended five World Fairs. He especially enjoyed traveling to Alaska with his sons to celebrate his 80th birthday. He was very proud of his family and all of their accomplishments. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Bertha Sailer Renschler and brother, Herman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vera Mae Grabert Renschler; sons, Dr. Clifford L. (Karen) Renschler of Tijeras, New Mexico and Eric L. (Robin) Renschler of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Clinton ,Tyler, Alisha and Zoe; a sister-in-law, Nancy Renschler; nieces, Mary Ruth Butler and Janelle Vogt; as well as nephews, David Renschler and Keith Grabert. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ind., with Rev. Cynthia Priem officiating and a private burial to follow at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the funeral home with a Masonic Service held at 7 p.m. and visitation from 9 until 10 a.m. service time Wednesday. Denise Sadler Denise G. Cox Sadler, 57 of Mount Vernon passed away Thursday March 26, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born October 21, 1957 in Evansville, the daughter of Arnold Lee ‘Bib’ and Lucille (Wall) Cox. Denise worked as a nurse at several nursing homes and had graduated from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Ill. She is survived by two daughters, Stacey McGee of Galesburg and Stephanie League of Frankfort, Ky.; four granddaughters; two brothers, David Cox of Evansville and Bill Barber of Mo.; five sisters, Dara Jean Cox of Mount Vernon, Donna (Mel) Paul of Wadesville, Kay CJ) Johnson of Evansville, Debbie Sarber of Mo., and Beverly (Glenn) Houston of Omaha, Neb. Gene R. Marx, 79 of Mount Vernon, died on April 2, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born on August 8, 1935 in Mount Vernon, the son of Raymond H. and Fleeda (Parks) Marx. He married Malita Wissner on June 30, 1956 in Evansville and she
survives. Mr. Marx was a 1953 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, and was a Sergeant with the National Guard, serving for three years. He worked at Bristol Myers for 35 years and retired in 1991. He bowled from 1989-2006 with the Mount Vernon Bowling League. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and especially time with his loving wife and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by daughters, Patti Marx and fiancé, Omar Sherron of Evansville, Terri Alsop of Mount Vernon, Ruthie Marvel and Sherri Allen of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Carol (Gary) Daws of Mount Vernon. He was preceded by a sister, Betty Wolf. The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Stephens, Dr. Michael Moore, Dr. Chris Chalko, Dr. Sloan, Dr. Kim, Davita North, staff of Deaconess Hospital and St. Mary’s Rehab, and the staff at IUPUI. A special thanks for their care giving from, granddaughters, Dana Norman and Jessica Owens, and close family friends, Brenda Stratman, Sondra Kester, and Sharon Roach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dewitt Parks; son, Patrick David Parks; four brothers, Phil, Pat, Bert, and Jack; and one sister, Winifred. She is survived by her son, Marcus (Sandie) Parks of Mooreland, Ind.; daughter, Laura (Tom) Sommerfield of Mount Vernon, Ind.; two grandchildren, Sarah Parks and Susan Clouse; and six great-grandchildren.
