Dynamo snap MLS record home unbeaten streak: The 1‐0 loss to Sporting Kansas City on May 12, 2013 ended the Dynamo’s league record home unbeaten streak at 36 games in all competitions (includes regular season, playoffs and CONCACAF Champions League). The streak included: 30 regular season games, a 2011 playoff win over Philadelphia (31 overall), two Champions League games in 2012 (33), playoff victories over Sporting KC and D.C. United in 2012 (35) and a Champions League win over Santos Laguna on March 5 (36). Houston broke Real Salt Lake’s 34‐game record with a 2‐1 win over the Chicago Fire on April 14, 2013 and set the current mark at 36 games with a 1‐1 draw against Colorado on April 28, 2013.

The Dynamo also set new MLS regular season home unbeaten streak record: The loss to Sporting KC also snapped Houston’s league record regular season home unbeaten streak at 30 games, which was set with a 1‐1 draw vs. Colorado on April 28. The streak eclipsed Real Salt Lake’s previous regular season record of 29 games. The Dynamo had not lost a home game in over 22 months, with their previous home defeat on June 18, 2011, a 2‐0 loss to Columbus.
