All told the team collected from some 30 cars and collected 2,300 plus pounds of unwanted electronic waste.

These events o en have the following goals:

1. Environmental Protection: By collecting and recycling e-waste, the events help prevent harmful substances from contaminating soil and water, and reduce the overall impact on the environment.

2. Resource Recovery: Valuable materials like metals, plastics, and glass can be recovered from e-waste through recycling, reducing the need for new raw materials and conserving natural resources.

3. Public Awareness: E-waste events raise awareness about the importance of responsible electronic waste disposal and educate the community about the potential hazards associated with improper disposal.

4. Compliance: Many jurisdictions have regulations in place to ensure proper e-waste disposal. E-waste events help individuals and businesses comply with these regulations.

5. Community Engagement: These events provide an opportunity for community members to actively participate in sustainable practices and support local environmental initiatives. The village intends on scheduling more of these events.
