“Mbizana Local Municipality has officially changed its name” By Winnie Madikizela-Mandela LM Communications Winnie Madikizela-Mandela born on 26 September 1936 in Bizana, Mbhongweni Village KwaNgutyana. Winnie Madikizela Mandela cut her teeth in the fight against the apartheid rule. Her role as a political activist defied odds and becone a symbol of strength to women of all nations. The ceremony, addressed by the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma where traditional leaders, government leaders in the province and representatives from various role players and stakeholders are in attendance of this prestigious event. As from today, the Municipality is finally renamed to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF DRAFT IDP FOR 2021/2022 & DRAFT BUDGET FOR 2021 / 2022 INVITATION TO SUBMIT COMMENTS ON DRAFT INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND MUNICIPAL ANNUAL BUDGET FOR 2021/2022 FINANCIAL YEAR Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 25(4) of Local Government Municipal Systems Act No. 32 of 2000; read with Section 22(a) of the Municipal Finance Management Act No. 56 of 2003, that the copies of the Winnie Madikizela – Mandela Local Municipality draft IDP for 2021 / 2022 and draft Budget for 2021 / 2022 financial year are available for inspection by all interested stakeholders. Photo Supplied On Saturday morning of the 27th of March, Phindafuthi "come again" hiking club from Kokstad hiked at Ingeli forest. This is a newly established hiking club with the aim of promoting healthy leaving life style. "We are promoting healthy leaving life style since we have aerobics team based at Eco Park in Shayamoya; this mountain hiking is also part of exercise" said Sinazo Gceba aerobics instructor at Buyafuthi club. About twenty eight (28) team members from Emaxesibeni managed to finish this walk. The team said they can't wait to finish another new challenge like climbing another Mountain. Gceba emphasised that Shayamoya and Kokstad will never be the same again in terms happy healthy leaving life style people must come in numbers to join this happy united family. Hiking is mind relaxing whilst promoting fitness and the love of nature. It makes us to connect with nature; while we learn about caring and loving of environment. We also learn about protected species of trees and grass. We also about the invasive species around us.
