Achromatic In achromatic artworks there are tones of black only. A gray scale is considered achromatic because it lacks hue and cannot be classified into the primary colors of red, blue and yellow.

Balance Balance is the way that lines, shapes, colors, textures or space are successfully arranged in a work of art. The elements can be uneven or asymmetrical. In contrast, the work can be symmetrical, where there is equal weight on both sides of the work. Balance occurs when the overall harmony of the piece exists.
