Cheshire Start of Season Party; Nunsmere Hall; Thursday 9 April
Season start Players, social members and supporters of Cheshire Polo Club turned out in force for the annual start of season party at Nunsmere Hall in early April. As usual it was the opportunity to swap winter polo stories and discuss plans for the forthcoming Cheshire season. Bowls of chilli and a few glasses of champagne weren’t strictly in keeping with pre-chukka diets, but players still tucked in with relish – and promised that kale juices and Evian would be back on the cards the next day. It’s an exciting summer for Cheshire with the National 6 goal now sporting a £10,000 prize fund, plenty of Club polo on offer and the welcoming of new Club Chairman, Richard Thomas.
