The main goal of this thesis was the design of a multifunctional building which houses art, graphics, entertainment, technology and is accessible by the public. This is not a traditional history of the development of film, but an emancipated history of the digital film philosophy. Each social system goes through a development cycle affected by social, historic and political factors. Our former social system has left a lot to be done in this new century and various multifunctional mechanisms to consolidate. Since the format of this system, in which we currently | 190
live, makes adaptations referring to developed countries, it is often constructed through transposition and not through the creation process. In fact, this behavior or, rather, this phenomenon reflects a nationwide social vulnerability in the processing of development alternatives, which should come from the intellectual elite or by people who are fond of art. In Albania the world of art is being neglected. This project, aimed at increasing an interest in art, went through its own stages of development. The most important was the research phase, through which persuasive
arguments about each feature were created, starting from the topic’s choice until the final product of the thesis, filtered through studies, analysis, context etc. The core concept was to create an object that followed and directed the flow of people, first crossing the old building, in order to identify the cultural and architectural values that it carries. The architecture that suits the goals and characteristics of the project is Futuristic Architecture. The project employs important elements that define space, transparency and movement that serve to articu-
late different and unforgettable locations throughout the building. The architectural style of the KINOSTUDIOS building is in contrast with the surrounding area; therefore, this building was designed as a liaison between the leading architectural agents and the entire city. In conclusion, this cultural center was designed in order to contribute to the artistic spirit and identity of the city, focusing on different artistic representations and, more specifically, on the animated films production.
