The architectural concept of the ‘’bridge’’ between elements of the context, natural landscape, river and human artifacts in the Paskuqan area is the contribution of this diploma thesis. The organic shape of the three-store volumetric space is inspired by landscape and its features merge with its context. Beyond the architectural intervention, an urban reshaping of the axis is applied in order to reinforce the arterial connections of Tirana with Paskuqan Lake. The area around the | 174
object has a recreational character, while also providing parking facilities for the visitors. The above mentioned elements make the building functional both in terms of its internal part and its external connections. As the main entrance is positioned in the northern area of the building, the light vortex penetrates the building from its center to the entrance, functioning as the main feature connecting the interior with the exterior.
