A family vacation to Vancouver; we would see the sights and spend a few days in the Okanagan on the way home. So far, so good. Then the negotiations began. Me: “You know, I’ve been thinking, we’ve never driven to Vancouver through the States, what if we went that way?”

Husband: “I’ve always wanted to check out Glacier National Park. Let’s do it!” Me: “Seems a shame to be that close to Walla Walla and not check it out.” Husband: “What the hell is a Walla Walla?”
