Geography And Climate
La Región del Ñuble limita al norte con la Región del Maule, al sur con la Región del Biobío, al oeste con el Océano Pacífico y al este con la República Argentina. Su superficie es 13.178 km2 representando a la región con menor extensión del país. El paisaje regional presenta las unidades longitudinales clásicas de la zona central de Chile, con presencia de algunos elementos propios como lo es la presencia de una precordillera, de gran relevancia en la configuración espacial de Ñuble.

Nuestra región se caracteriza por presentar en forma definida las estaciones climáticas a través del año, registrando un clima templado cálido con lluvias invernales que se conoce con el nombre de “Clima Mediterráneo”. Sin embargo durante los días de Verano pleno (enero) es factible tener temperaturas ambientales de 40 grados celsius, cómo también temperaturas bajo cero (hasta unos –6°C) a mediados del Invierno (mes de Julio). En el transcurso del día ocurren amplitudes de temperatura de los 20 °C.
Las precipitaciones medias son de un promedio de los 1000 mm anuales y ocurren principalmente entre los meses de Abril a Septiembre, siendo nieve en la alta cordillera entre los meses de Junio a Agosto especialmente.
La Cordillera de los Andes presenta una altura máxima en el Nevados de Chillán con 3.212 msnm. el cual presenta hielos eternos de glaciares en su cumbre la cual se encuentra cercano a las Termas de Chillán. La Cordillera de la Costa se eleva hasta los 400 msnm.

During the day, temperature amplitudes of 20 ° C occur.
