XVI REGIÓN DE ÑUBLE

Antes Ñuble, pertenecía a la Región del Bío Bío, siendo su capital Concepción. Esta nueva región, según la ley 21.033, nace porque responde a las necesidades de sus habitantes, quienes poseen dinámicas culturales y espaciales muy distintas a la de su antes capital regional Concepción, en la Región del Bío Bío. En el año 2018, se establece legalmente la Región de Ñuble, con sus áreas y provincias. Con un total de 480 mil habitantes, la Región de Ñuble comienza su travesía como la décima sexta región de la República de Chile.

Nuestra región cuenta con una superficie total de 13.178,5 km² y administrativamente está constituida por tres provincias (Diguillín, Punilla e Itata) y 21 comunas, siendo Chillán, la capital regional.

Afew years ago Ñuble belonged to the Bío Bío Region, being its capital Concepción. This new region, according to Law 21.033, was born because it responds to the needs of its inhabitants, who have very different cultural and spatial dynamics from that of its former regional capital, Concepción, in the Bío Bío Region. In 2018, the Ñuble Region, with its areas and provinces, is legally established. With a total of 480 thousand inhabitants, the Ñuble Region begins its journey as the sixteenth region of the Republic of Chile.

Our region has a total area of 13,178.5 km² and is administratively made up of three provinces (Diguillín, Punilla and Itata) and 21 communes, with Chillán being the regional capital.
