ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are a family business - Pohiťtvo Iskra, one of the largest producers of custom-made furniture in Slovenia. Our mission is professional, friendly and positive way of work, to do everything in our power and thus fulfil wishes and expectations of our loyal customer and all the people that we meet during our work. This is a method that leads to the desired result – high quality and most demanding furniture that we offer to our customers. The beginnings of the company date back to 1968, when the founder, Janez Iskra, together with his brother, undertook joinery activity in a workshop at home in Medvode. From a small workshop in a garage with two employees the trade grown into a company and Pohiťtvo Iskra brand was created. Today, it runs on 5500 m2 in Preska near Medvode and employs over 50 people. First products were predominantly furnishing and bowling alley equipment, but later the company began to steer toward custom-made equipment for the most demanding environments. Even after 50 years of existence, the company`s production still specializes in producing the most demanding furniture for hotels, banks, casinos, representational spaces and other custom-made equipment, as evidenced by the company`s references. From year to year, the company is developing and continuously investing in new, modern equipment. Development, education, new technologies and the use of new materials, while taking into account wishes of our customers, are our priorities. We are aware that only constant improvement, accuracy, and striving to perfection, can produce the most demanding top-grade furniture.
