the cat will push the window open once again the cat as green as grass and just as tender and it will steal into the empty room and it will curl up at the master’s feet
sleep sleep sleep will take you away from this world wash you up and comb your hair and divide you among the children in need you’re already forgotten
they have their own world and this world of theirs makes me sick and even with an empty tin in my mouth I am ready to scream and even with a bomb in the marrow of my spine I am ready to scream that they have their own world and this world of theirs makes me sick
and rain will push the window open once again the rain as green as grass and just as tender and it will steal into the empty room and it will curl up at the master’s feet

sleep sleep sleep will take you away from this world wash you up and comb your hair and divide you among the children in need you’re already forgotten
and death has gently pushed the window open oh death as green as grass and just as tender and he has stolen to the empty room and he has curled up at the master’s feet
the dog is limping on towards the forest behind it the man is nearly old and here we are in december – the month when so pale you break and hurriedly share out tiny bones ay your beloved tiny bones ay your dog oh so beautiful

to alien rhytms. toys in the twilight. he said it was bliss to dismantle an empire. to set up up a shop selling trifles on the outskirts of town to rather wake up bathed in sweat oh you sage! no rhetoric at all. walls collapse by themselves. the living are dying the dead are resurrected. oh you sage! tired man looking for you from the outside. I’ve been resting while looking for you from the inside. on the seashore thinking of you. on the seashore watching you. on the seashore forgetting about you. oh you sage! and oh what a banquet we’ll have yea, with the last of the beggars who have ruined the city. with all those we can still lay a hand on. oh you sage! we float towards metaphysics. we crawl too. he dropped from the sky and caught sight of the earth his father and mother were busy conceiving him. he said< to dismantle an empire to set up a shop selling trifles to rather wake up bathed in sweat.
the poet’s word booms out into the distance the two of us are farther still here on the shore of the lake underneath the septentrion worrying about the rent and death

nisip şi pietre ne şopteşte zidarul
sand and stones the bricklayer whispers
să vă fac eu o casă cum nu s-a mai văzut
let me build you a house the like of which has never been seen
planks and nails the bricklayer whispers in our ear
through the air getting colder and colder under the rain getting darker and darker
