In the Matter of the Estate

On June 20, 2014, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Oil & Gas (DO&G), issued a written finding under AS 38.05.133(f) addressing the issuance of an oil and gas exploration license. The DO&G director determined that the potential benefits of issuing an exploration license, as conditioned, outweigh the possible adverse effects, and that issuing the exploration license will best serve the interests of the State of Alaska. Competing proposals were received for the Southwest Cook Inlet Oil and Gas Exploration License and the DNR commissioner intends to request competitive sealed bids pursuant to AS 38.05.133(h). The finding is available on DO&G's website at: http://dog.dnr.alaska.gov/Leasing/ BestInterestFindings.htm#exp An eligible person affected by this written finding may appeal it in accordance with 11 AAC 02. Any appeal must be received within 20 calendar days after the date of issuance of this finding, as defined in 11 AAC 02.040(c) and (d). Mail or deliver request to: Commissioner Department of Natural Resources 550 W. 7th Avenue, Suite 1400 Anchorage, Alaska 99501 fax: 1-907-269-8918 or email: dnr.appeals@alaska.gov If no appeal is filed by that date, this finding goes into effect as a final order and decision on the 31st day after issuance. An eligible person must first appeal this written finding in accordance with 11 AAC 02 before appealing this finding to Superior Court. A copy of 11 AAC 02 is available from any DNR regional information office. The DO&G complies with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. This publication will be made available in alternative communication formats upon request.
