TONASKET onasket is a vigorous town with people that like to work hard, as well as play hard. Many of the community’s events reflect this relationship between labor and leisure.
Tonasket, with a population of 1,000, rests in the Okanogan Valley approximately 20 miles south of the U.S.Canadian border. It is the center of a large agricultural area, with apples, cattle and timber being the most prevalent products.

Tons of Fun at Tonasket Rodeo Grounds
It is surrounded by the Many Lakes Recreation Area famous for its fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing. The town hosts several annual events, among these are the Founder’s Day Rodeo and Parade, Father’s Day Fly-in, Demo Derby, Tractor Pull and Music in the Park. Tonasket is intersected by state Highways 97 and 20. Hwy. 97, an international roadway, links the town with Canada to the north, and California on the extreme south.
