ollala man charged in child sex crime Staff report

A child sex charge was filed against a Ollala man Nov. 10 in Kitsap County District Court. Edward Franklin Cousineau, 40, was charged with first-degree child molestion. According to charging papers, a 13-year-old female told another student at her school about being sexually abused on Nov. 5. The student told the school counselor who contacted the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. The victim told investigators the abuse had been going on for about two years. The suspect was interviewed by investigators on Nov. 6 and 7, then arrested and booked into the Kitsap County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000. The following charges were filed Nov. 1-18 in Kitsap County District Court: • Nov. 18: Skylar William Ridgeway, 20, Port Orchard, second-degree burglary; Gale Dawn Clark, 41, Port

Kitsap County Sheriff ’s Office detectives need the public’s help to identify two suspects involved in a South Kitsap burglary last week. The burglary happened between 1-4:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Sunnyslope area. According to Deputy Scott Wilson, KCSO spokesman, two men — most likely of Asian ethnicity — forced their way into an unoccupied house while armed with handguns. “Once inside the suspects ransacked the residence,” said

He said the suspects appear to have arrived at the home on foot, but a black-colored Dodge Dakota pick-up truck, operated by a third person, pulled into the driveway. “It was used to carry the stolen property and the suspects away from the scene,” said Wilson. The model year of the suspect vehicle is most likely 1997 to 2004 model with customized wheels. Wilson said sheriff’s detectives are working in conjunction with SeaTac police, who believe that these same two suspects were involved in the recent theft of an ATM

South Kitsap Helpline is seeking donations of fresh produce for the holiday season. Executive Director Jennifer Hardison said Helpline is expecting to feed more than 2,000 families during the holiday season, “Because healthy, fresh produce is so important, we are asking for your help to supplement the holiday meals of meat and canned goods we will be offering to local individuals and families in crisis,” said Hardison.
