In addition to the show stopper “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” the score includes many other well known songs including “Rainbow High,” “A New Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and much more. “The Evita score is complex and a thrill to play and lead,” said music director and conductor Elizabeth Faye. “I have assembled a top-notch orchestra of local musicians who share my love of the music and commitment to bringing the composer’s intent to life.” Debbie Pierce returns as choreographer for the production, with Abby Wyatt as costume designer. Bainbridge-born rocker Isla Cheadle will return to the Northwest as part of the musical duo Purple Crush to perform two shows during the upcoming Seattle Pride event. Cheadle said that she was looking forward to playing near home again after having been away for so long. “I am a Bainbridge girl born and raised, and my husband was raised in Kirkland, but his parents now live in Poulsbo,” she explained. “We met at art school, moved to N.Y. and have been performing dance music all over the world for many years now.” Purple Crush is set to perform at a time TBD on the main stage at Seattle Pride on Sunday, June 29, and again at 4:30 p.m. on the DJ stage.

Purple Crush twerked and vogued in foreign countries with the release of their EP ‘Welcome 2 EmoClub’ on their own label, Crushed Records, which included the heavily remixed track ‘Shopping On The Dancefloor.’” Check their Facebook page for the latest performance information, facebook.com/purplec rushmusic.
