The Fred Needham Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2669 is sponsoring a chili cook-off and auction from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Samples are $1 per person. The silent auction is 5-7 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7:30 p.m. There are five categories: spicy, traditional, non-traditional, cornbread and the “People’s Choice.” Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Arts and craft fest The Hansville Art and Craft Guild’s Holiday Fair 2013 is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9. Breakfast with Santa Breakfast with Santa, a fundraiser to support the Fathoms o’ Fun Scholarship Program, is set for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Port Orchard Eagles Hall, 4001 Jackson Ave. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12, and free for children under 5.
