Pattison’s Team Extreme racks up national medals By CASEY OLSON sports@fedwaymirror.com

Federal Way’s Pattison’s West has long held a special spot in the world of inline speed skating. Year in and year out, the skating center has produced some of the best talent in the United States, including Winter Olympians Apolo Ohno and J.R. Celski. Pattison’s Team Extreme elite speed skating squad turned in another impressive performance at the 2012 Indoor National Speed Skating Championships in Lincoln, Neb. The championships were held July 14-21 and Pattison’s Team Extreme racked up multiple national titles during their week in Nebraska. The most impressive of those championships may have come from the relay team of Brandon Hall, Miguel Jose, Jeremy Anderson and Zach Sagiao. The foursome won the Senior 4-Man 4,000-meter relay title and broke the national record by more than two seconds. The team is currently in Colorado Springs, Colo. preparing for this weekend’s USA Roller Sports 2012 Outdoor National Inline Speed Skating Championships. Hall, a 19-year-old Federal Way resident, is participating in nine different races with the goal of making the USA World Team, which will compete in Rome in September. Two years ago, Hall competed at the World Championships in South America and won
