Are You The Bored Uninspired Photographer? Professional photography can become uninspiring and monotonous at times, like every other profession, you need to do some ‘self help’ to bring back the ‘romance’ in your job and embrace it with enthusiasm once again. Monotony is something so basic and so natural that it can grip even the best of people who started off their jobs saying this was their passion and they would love to do this job for the rest of their lives. It’s a myth that one can be bored of their job only when they work in a highly technical and mechanical sort of complex work frame. It goes the same way for the creative field as well. Whether you are a designer, a painter, a musician, a writer or a photographer, you are bound to start finding your work monotonous and taxing over the time. This is usually the ‘block’ time when you find nothing inspiring enough to create your art from. The beauty of nature is that it can shock and surprise you at the same time. I remember the beautiful view that I captured sitting at the peak of a snow-covered mountain at Rohtang pass in India. Watching people indulging in snow sports and surrounded by vivacious mountains from all sides, the clouds formed a display of all things magical. It was like snap and one minute there was dark clouds shadowing us overhead, and snap! The next second one could see the sun shining bright. This beautiful display of color and shadow continued for hours before sunset, and who knew, that even on a break, I would capture some of the most breathtaking images of my life. A lot of Brampton photographers will agree when I say that the best of pictures come when you are not trying too hard. Inspiration can be garnered when your mind and your eyes are receptive to it. You have to have alarming point of view towards life in general so that you can see and admire the beautiful creations of God and man. So go ahead, and make an effort, revive your love for your profession, be inspired.
