here’s an overwhelmingly sense of camaraderie that is seen in the entire duration of the Sinulog Festival - an annual celebration prepared and offered by Cebu to honor Senyor Santo Niño (Child Jesus). It is in the Cebuanos relentless effort to bring life to such a grand festivity that makes Sinulog one of the most celebrated occasions throughout the year. PLDT, through its Community Relations (ComRel) Division, supports the annual Sinulog Festival - a week-long celebration which starts on the 7th of January. As the festival marks its 37th year, PLDT makes its presence felt throughout the entire festivity as one of its major sponsors - from attending one of the festival’s main events to the Company’s marketing efforts.

received a trolley bag sponsored by PLDT ComRel. Joining Alforque and Asturias in the Top Five were Cristal Jade Lacid of Talisay City, second runner-up; Marilee Cortes from Lanao Del Norte, third runner-up; and Lara Therese Delica of Tuburan Town, fourth runner-up.
During its annual Miss Sinulog Festival Queen pageant, PLDT ComRel Head/Consultant Evelyn M. Del Rosario has been chosen as one the board of judges. PLDT ComRel gave away P5,000 special cash prize to Sinulog Festival 1st runner-up Ivy Tanquezon Tapic of Asturias, Cebu for being chosen as this year’s Miss PLDT. Her prizes included a one-year PLDT HOME Fibr subscription, and a PLDT PLDT Home enlivens the festivity by trolley bag.
Del Rosario underscores the importance of Sinulog in the context of the Filipino culture. “Sinulog has always been one of the favorite festivals of the Filipino people. It not only highlights the beauty of our culture, but it also emphasizes the values we have instilled upon us as a nation - camaraderie, a strong faith, and an optimistic spirit,” Del Rosario said.
“PLDT has always supported the Sinulog Festival. It constantly aims to enrich connections as the festival brings together people from all walks of life,” Del Rosario added.

Sinulog revelers were also treated to face painting sessions and snacks for free.
