# Men’s Bowling became the 11th sport to feature a NAIA Championship in 1962. For the first three years it was 32 teams and featured 12-game total pinfall style as the format. Starting in 1965, the field was reduced to eight teams, all the winners of their geographical area, and was changed to head-to-head, match game, roiund robin bowling.
! The NAIA discontinued bowling as a championship before the 1978-79 season
^ NAIA Bowling became an emerging sport in the 2018-19 season and moved to championship status for the 2019-2020 season
* During the 2024 Championship, teams started playing best out of seven matches
