Che ne è stato dei protagonisti dei film degli anni ‘70 di Zanussi, Życie rodzinne, Barwy ochronne e Constans? Cosa è successo loro? Come hanno vissuto nei decenni trascorsi da allora? Il film è costruito come un’intervista realizzata ai nostri giorni da un aspirante suicida, il protagonista di Serce na dłoni. Su ordine del suo terapeuta, l’uomo comincia a chiedersi se la vita umana possa avere successo. Scene delle interviste si intrecciano con frammenti dei film. I personaggi di un tempo ricompaiono e rispondono alle sue domande. Il risultato è un esperimento cinematografico senza precedenti, in cui i film del passato riprendono vita in un nuovo film.

What were the subsequent lots of the characters of Krzysztof Zanussi’s films from the 70s: Życie rodzinne, Barwy ochronne and Constans? What happened to them? Where are they? How did they live during decades that passed from those times? The film has a form of an interview made nowadays by a would-be suicide person, the protagonist of Serce na dłoni. Ordered by his therapist he is wondering if human life can be successful. Scenes from the interviews intertwine with fragments of films. The characters of the past reappear and answer his questions. The result: an unprecedented film experiment in which film classics find a new life in a contemporary film.
