stretch of via ferrata in the natural caves, with zip-lines, hanging ladders and a giant swing, or the Parco Avventura Adrenalin Center, where visitors can cross the trees on trails equipped with pulleys, rope bridges, cables and nets. Another recommended destination for grown-ups and kids is the Ice Stadium. While the children play in the Dolomiti Paradise on fun installations like swings, slides and play houses, parents can take a much-needed breather and enjoy the sunshine. Kids aged from six to fifteen can go wild in the Skill Park, 2,055 metres up on the large meadow in front of Rifugio Col Gallina, an excellent practice ground for learning freeride, or hone their skills at the Skill Park at Sopiazes. The park is open to all riders accompanied by an MTB instructor. When parents feel the

need for some time to themselves and their kids want to assert their independence, the Fairplay Amateur Sports Association is the ideal destinatioN (www.asdfairplay.it). For children up to the age of seven there are bike and walking excursions in the woods, as well as roller skating, creative workshops and natural history games (plenty of activities for under-16s are offered every week). The Happy Cortina sports club organises outings and creative educational workshops for children from 3 to 14 years old, intended to help them develop their manipulative, drawing, painting and modelling skills using the materials they find around them. There is also a weekly programme of cooking lessons and courses in cake design and a Nordic Walking school (happycortina@libero.it).
