NEW RANGES

Manitou’s expanding Oxygen range has recently been extended with the introduction of two versatile rotating telescopic handlers with zero emissions and zero noise levels - the MRT2260e & MRT2660e.

A maximum lift capacity of 6 tons with a max lift height of 22 metres and 26 metres.

The machine is 100% electrically operated, with Lithium-ion batteries offering reduced maintenance, optimized recharging and a long service life.

The MRTe offers user commonality with the same features and functionality as experienced on a traditional diesel powered model, such as lift capacity, visibility, ergonomy, comfort, access, intuitive controls and overall performance; not to mention the vast array of attachments available.

The MRT range from Manitou is a market leader in many countries, each with different customer profiles, so designing an electric machine suitable for all was challenging. Each customer has different usage patterns and needs, so the MRTe has been developed with a modular power concept allowing the customer to choose one of three power configurations:

• Standard Single Battery of 65 kwh capacity - autonomy of up to 4 hrs

• Twin Battery of 2 x 65 kwh capacity - autonomy of up to 8 hrs

• Single Battery of 65 kwh, with a RANGE EXTENDER.autonomy of up to 4 hrs with zero emissions, or continuous autonomy in hybrid mode.

The range extender is a self contained thermal engine unit with a STV 18.4kw Yanmar engine and 65l fuel tank, able to recharge the battery of the machine during use, providing continuous hybrid operation.

The modular concept allows retrofit of either the second battery or range extender module within 20-30 minutes, allowing the user/hirer to adapt the machine depending on the application or available recharge options.

Selectable ECO, STANDARD or BOOST operating modes balance autonomy vs performance depending on the application - great flexibility for 40kph roading or when recharge options are limited.

Recharging capabilities of up to 60 kw DC is available offering a recharge time of a single battery from 0-80% capacity in just 60 mins, or the 22kw on board charger in 135 mins.

Manitou is committed to reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) with design considerations throughout the project including:

• Energy Regeneration System - when the accelerator pedal is released, energy is regenerated lowering consumption offering greater autonomy

• Real Data - All energy consumption information is visible in real time on the display giving full control

All the advantages and versatility of an MRT in an electric version. Ideal for work with environmental constraints, night work, in urban areas, historical buildings, and many more.

Manitou is also adding to its range of compact forklifts with the commercial launch of its first 100% electric compact telehandler. The former best selling MT 625 is now available as the ‘MT 625e’, with a capacity of 2.5 tons and a height of 6 metres, guarantees performance as good as the internal combustion version and is the same size with compact dimensions of 1.8 metres in width and under 2 metres in height - meaning you can easily pass under thresholds and navigate congested areas. It remains the telescopic handler for all your material handling applications, even in the most demanding and difficult conditions!

Fitted with a 25 or 33 kWh lithium-ion battery, this model reduces maintenance by 56% and drastically reduces the total cost of ownership for the user. This technology has many advantages, such as low maintenance requirements and the possibility of opportunity charge (partial and frequent recharging of the battery). The useful capacity of a lithiumion battery and its lifetime are also among the best. Not to mention its climatic resistance and its efficiency close to 100%. Perfect for indoor or city center use or for renovating historic buildings, the MT 625e benefits like all the models in the compact telehandler range from the Safety Pack and the Harmony screen for safe and easy use.
