Louis Bonnette Sr. Associate AD/Sports Information Louis Bonnette is the university’s senior associate athletic director in charge of sports information. He is in his 46th year as the SID. A native of Pineville and a graduate of Louisiana Tech, he is also a past president (two terms) of the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and has been the recipient of the LSWA’s Mac Russo Award. He has received the Distinguished Service Award from the LSWA and has been inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, in the sports journalism division. He is a member of the McNeese Hall of Fame which he founded and serves as its chairman and he was selected for the Southland Conference Hall of Honor. He was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame in 2009. He serves on CoSIDA’s academic allAmerica committee. Sons Michael (LSU) and Matthew (Northwestern State) are SIDs. His wife Willene is a school teacher and daughter Anne is a nurse.

Pam LaFosse Assistant Sports Information Director

Pam LaFosse is now in her 21st season as the assistant sports information director at McNeese State. She handles sports information for all of the women’s sports as well as helping with men’s football, basketball and track and field. She produces media guides, programs and news releases for all of the women’s sports. A native of Gueydan, LaFosse is a graduate of McNeese State and is a former Cowgirl athlete, having been a four year letter winner in basketball.

Ryan Ivey Associate Athletic Director

Ryan Ivey is in his fifth year as the associate athletic director in charge of external affairs. He oversees the day to day operations of the athletic department, business affairs and scheduling. A native of Mayfield, KY, he is a graduate of the University of Memphis where he also played football. He had previously served as 42

Director of Operations at Memphis, coordinator of marketing and promotions at South Dakota and stadium operations with the Memphis Redbirds baseball team. He was a punter on the Memphis football team and played in the New Orleans Bowl and the GMAC Bowl while also serving as team captain. He and wife Kelley have two sons, Jett and Ace.

Bridget Martin Associate AD/Compliance

Bridget Martin is in her eighth year as the university’s associate athletic director and is also in her ninth year as the coordinator of compliance for the McNeese State athletic department. She also serves as the senior women’s administrator for the university. A native of Lake Arthur, Martin had served as the McNeese women’s basketball coach. During an 11 year period she served as head basketball coach for seven seasons and four seasons as co-head coach. She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech and coached St. Louis High (Lake Charles) to a state title in 1988-89. She serves on the NCAA compliance cabinet committee and various Southland Conference committees.

Pam McGough Coor. of Athletic Development

Pam McGough is in her sixth year with the McNeese Athletic Foundation. She coordinates the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts for athletic scholarships and individual athletic programs. A native of Vinton, LA, she was raised in Lake Charles, graduating from McNeese with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. She is an active member of the McNeese Alumni Association and served as president during the ‘96-97 school year.

Nathan Fontaine Ticket Coordionator, Marketing Dir. Nathan Fontaine is the newest member of the staff, having joined late in the summer a year ago. He has had previous experience in ticket sales and marking with Arkansas, Sam

Houston State and Houston. He is a native of Pearland, TX and a graduate of the University of Houston. He also holds a master degree in Business Administration from the university. He began his athletics career as an intern at the University of Houston.

Dr. Michael Soileau Southland Conference Faculty Rep

Dr. Michael Soileau serves as the university faculty rep for the Southland Conference and the NCAA. He is a 1988 graduate of McNeese State and earned his master degree from the university in 1990. He obtained his PhD from Texas A&M-Commerce in 1994. He is the university’s department head of Health and Human Performance, the Director of Recreation and an associate professor. Dr. Soileau also handles the clock and score keeping at McNeese basketball games. He and his wife Pauline have three children, Logan, Cameron and Mattie.

Josh Jorgenson Coordinator of Athletic Affairs

Josh Jorgenson is McNeese’s Director of athletic affairs. He is in his second season. He is charged with handling the operations for all athletic events on campus. A 2003 graduate of Nebraska he also served as director of ticketing for Northwestern State in 2004, and director of stadium operations for Nebraska. His wife is Angela

Penny Brown Travis Pickering Coordinator S-A Mentoring

Travis Pickering is the university’s coordiantor of athletic mentoring. He is a 2004 graduate of the university and obtained his master degree in 2010. He was a place kicker on the Cowboy football team from 2002 to 2004.

Cathy DeVillier Assistant to the Athletic Director

Cathy DeVillier serves as the assistant to the athletic director. She is in her sixth year at the university. She is a native of Lake Charles and a graduate of LaGrange High School. She and husband Mike have two children, Josh and Shelby.

Michelle Duplantis Administrative Assistant Football

Michelle Duplantis, a native of Lake Charles, is in her fifth year as a member of the athletic department. She has a son, Gavin.

Academic Counselor for Athletics

Deb Kingrey is in her sixth year as the academic counselor for student athletes. She holds both the bachelor and master degree from McNeese and was a high school teacher for three years in Allen Parish. All told, she is beginning her 18th year as a member of the McNeese State administration. Son Charlie was an all-conference and baseball team MVP for the Cowboys.

Penny Brown is in her 24th year as a member of the athletic department. Son Josh is an assistant SID at TAM-Corpus
