My journey to the launch of PixelHaze Academy has been a long and winding road. I began building websites at the age of 13, setting me up to co-found one of the UK's fastest-growth digital media agencies in 2004. Fast-forwarding nearly 20 years, the experience I have gained as a small business owner, designer, frontend developer, and project manager has made me a generalist with a wealth of knowledge in this niche.
I have been in the industry long enough to see both sides of the coin. Leading a digital marketing project draws many parallels with launching your own business. You are instantly required to get up to speed and master an array of new skills, thrown into a new World with its often-frustrating jargon-heavy language. Through my work with over 3,000 businesses in various industry sectors, I have seen first-hand the struggles busy individuals face when adopting and learning new technology. This has led me to create a resource that can provide tailored guidance and support to help others succeed. In the spring of 2019, I launched PixelHaze Academy, my lifelong dream of passing on my experience in the creative industries to the next wave of emerging designers and entrepreneurs. By offering training courses and a helping hand, PixelHaze Academy aims to help individuals create professional-looking websites and digital products to bridge the gap.
