Val Gardena
The valley of Gröden and its main villages St. Christina, St. Ulrich and Wolkenstein fill winter sport fans with enthusiasm. Surrounded by the incomparable panorama of the Dolomites beginners will get their money’s worth as well as pros – concerning skiing, ski lodges, après-ski and all the trappings. The valley at the foot of the mighty, more than 3,000 m high Mt. Langkofel belongs to the Ladin-speaking regions in South Tyrol, distinguished for special customs and traditions. Especially Wolkenstein is always well-attended during the high season, because around the village at the head of the valley there are all sorts of ski runs. The two neighboring villages are somewhat quieter destinations for a skiing holiday in Gröden. St. Christina is particularly known for the breath-taking view of Mt. Today you will hardly hear the valley’s old German name Hochabtei, because Alta Badia prefers to be Italian and elegant rather than alpine and traditional. And it has the right to do so, because in the last years the villages between Mt. Sella and Fanes – Corvara, Kolfuschg, La Villa, Pedratsches and St.Kassian – have developed into noble ski resorts. Not for nothing the valley was repeatedly decorated concerning ski holidays. In this mountain refuge of ours there is a jovial air about the place, one not only of seeking pleasure moment by moment but of generally being involveed in the family affairs of the day and relishing the tastes and flavours which abound. Relaxation is vital so 11.00 pm signals the day’s end. The rooms have quite low ceilings and the floors are of wood and cleaned in the old-fashioned way, but a cosy comfort is all yours. The small bathrooms are not of a technology luxury, but cold and hot water in abundance is luxury enough and some even come with a view! Breakfast is as abundant and wholesome as you could wish for and of an afternoon the terrace is full of life and splendour, and with afternoon herbal teas another highlight of your day. The pre-dinner treat is South Trolean style with two pieces of local speck to arouse and delight your senses. Dinner is in mountain tradition – simple but prepared with tender loving care and the goodness of the vegetable patch and the local farmers’ produce is all yours. Cesco’s joy was to always have a word or two with guests over dinner! We propose produce not passing through the usual wholesale chain for we feel ourselves responsible to support every local sustainable initiative and thus favouring our valley community. As for coffee and banana they come through the fairtrade route. Wherever we can we willingly do our best to be on the side of Mother Nature.

The name Ciasa (“home” in Ladin) immediately reminds us of its location,while conveying a sense of familiarity and warmth. The house has been gradually developed and enlarged, as can be seen from the images on the wall by the lobby fireplace. You will notice that the architecture has not been changed on the contrary, its appeal has been enhanced. The last major refurbishment, in spring 2010, saw the addition of12 superior category rooms,with 13 rooms fully renovated. The Restaurant La Siriola prefers to offer a wide range of culinary treats such as its gourmet menu, its à la carte dishes, the “connoisseur’s special”, fine cheese board and selection of chocolates. Our international menuscan be matched with fine wines by the glass. In the Beauty Spa Vives, manual and mechanical techniques are skilfully combined to reinvigorate tired skin or relax the muscles. The indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam bath, infrared sauna and Finnish sauna offer purification and healing warmth.

Sestriere
On the border between Italy and France there is Sestriere, the hub of the ski area called the "Vialattea". The ski area covers 400 km of slopes, is one of the best in Italy with the resorts of Sauze d' Oulx and Montgenèvre. Sestriere has a long international history of skiing and tourism. In 1921 the first inn opened here in town, since 1930 the owner of Fiat, Giovanni Agnelli, built here a modern ski resort. Characteristic of the area and now the symbol of the city, the hotel built on the twin towers, right in the center of the country. After World Ski Championships in 1997, in 2006 Sestriere hosted the Olympic Winter Games of Turin. The slopes of Sestriere is divided into three zones. Courmayeur
Embedded between steep mountain ridges at the end of the Aosta Valley, Courmayeur offers a manysided and challenging snow resort.
