1995-2013 | Serving God at Pinnacle

What was most memorable for you about serving God at Pinnacle?

Rev. Janet Arbesman, Ph.D.

Former Associate Pastor for Children’s Education

Rev. Dr. Mac Schafer

Former Associate Pastor and Interim Pastor

It was assisting the congregation to implement a vision for a high quality Christian education program for Pinnacle members while addressing the interests of the greater community. The challenge: “How does a new church development with limited funds and mostly unchurched members create an education program that equipped its members to think theologically, to teach, to lead, and to serve with graciousness and hospitality to all?” Happy 25th, Pinnacle Presbyterian Church! I am deeply grateful for the six years of ministry I had at PPC. As you carry on in ministry together, be strong and courageous, stand firm in your faith, let all you do be done in love, may you know God’s smile and that you are loved beyond your wildest imagination by God! With Love and Appreciation.

Rev. Kristin Willett

Former Associate Pastor for Youth and their Families

The teens we had the privilege of ministering with for those five years were a rare breed. Their willingness to explore, question, and live into our shared faith story was inspiring. To see them live their faith, or be “doers of the word” as it’s called in James, gives me hope for the future of the Church and the world.

Rev. Sarah Johnson

Former Associate Pastor for Christian Formation and Congregation Care

The love, strength, and devotion of the many families that make up Pinnacle. What a joy and a gift to be in ministry with so many families who gave their all in wanting to live out their faith, and in particular, their commitment to do that at Pinnacle. One of my favorite experiences was going to Pine Summit in Prescott for Family Camp. It was a true partnership between pastors and lay people. It was a time to recognize our need for community and also our need for a relationship with the divine. What a gift to share that time together.

2012-2015 | Hopes for the future

What is your hope for Pinnacle in the future?

Rev. Dr. Terry Swicegood

Pastorial Associate for Senior Adult Ministries

I would hope that each time we leave the Pinnacle campus, whether we’ve been there for worship, for a meeting, or an activity, we would leave more hopeful, more empowered, and more equipped to follow Jesus.

My hope is that Pinnacle will continue to be a place where students and families can come to learn about and experience the love of God. When a student graduates from high school and moves on to the next phase in their lives, he or she will take with them all that we have shared and that we have given them; the support and tools needed to know who they are and to whom they belong.

Rev. Frank Harmon

Associate Pastor for Youth, Children and their Families

Rev. Kelsy Brown

Associate Pastor for Membership and Mission

My prayer is each person who is on campus for worship, Bible study, lecture or concert will know the Spirit of the Living God is with them bringing hope to the hopeless, strength for the weary, healing for the broken and grace for all. And when we return to our homes, work or out doing mission, that the light of Christ goes with us, illuminating the darkness so that all might see Jesus in their midst.
