The club has a diverse range of Slow Handicap dinghies – ranging from Wayfarers, Enterprises, Wanderers, Gulls, Comets etc.- but there are more than 40 types of dinghy in the Slow Handicap category, and approximately 400 boats in the fleet, although you won’t normally see them all out at the same time! Many are content to cruise around the reservoir, perhaps stopping for a picnic, or a walk to the pub at Three Leg Cross. Some join in the Sunday racing, a pastime we

can recommend for improving your sailing and boathandling skills in general, and getting extra enjoyment from sailing your boat, through the friendly competition and camaraderie which is generated by club racing.
Other Fleets
We welcome the organisation of other fleets by members, providing there are enough boats of a class we are happy to ‘adopt’ and give them their own start time.
