Can have or not have Modeling and Material Take-off

Unfold Unitized Panel Y.H.S. INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD , and Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. would like to have.

In conducting the interviews of all companies need these two functions to remodel the facade and extract the 3D model to fill in their Bill of Quantiy forms of each company.

- Mr. Buncha Wongbunthoon , Architect and Sale Manager , Y.H.S. INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD. , said that “ To be convenient to draw on shop drawings and fabrication drawings for Complex structure , We need only pane , afterward the designers can draw in details on the pane ”.

Axonometric + Part Number Table Every company needs to have this function

- Mr. Peter Bouras ,Associate Director Facade , Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. said that “ Currently on Central Embassy the contractor is using Catia to do this by trying to convert Rhino files, unfortunately Rhino is not so accurate and the contractor is having problems doing the unfolding.”

- Mr. Peter Bouras , Associate Director Facade , Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. said that “ Regarding 3D , to be used for fabrication you need to have a 2D drawing or at least axonometric drawings. This would be great, currently ACAD has and axonometric function, but for contractors having quantities would be beneficial…” - Mr. Joe Rakchaiwan , Design Manager , Global Façade System Co., Ltd said that “ For converting 3D to 2D Axonometric Drawings in AutoCad is very good because if doing 3D in AutoCad would be difficult to place on Layout ”. - Mr. Ekkarat Panikorn , Engineer , Teasco ( Thailand ) Co.,Ltd, said that “ We need to do 3D and Axonometric Drawings everytime , and have to be tag on Part Numbers on a 2D drawing and also include in a table besides the drawing and some enlarge structures pictures from the main facade ”.

Color Symbozer + Part Number Table

“”

Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. gave the opinion that the colors would make the model blured and difficult to see , but if the colors present different types of materials is fine. Other companies said that the function is ok if can do for communication.

Sill

- Mr.Peter Bouras ,Associate Director Facade , Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. “ Mullions and transoms can be sloped, on a conventional building you have the top member which is horizontal called the head, the bottom member is also horizontal is called the sill, the mullion is vertical member on either side to form the unitised panel and intermediate members are called transoms. On a Project the floor is always horizontal right? So when you have a unitised façade system the stack joint or male (head) and female (sill) extrusions at the slab level must be horizontal, the mullions can be sloped and the intermediate members can also be sloped, we in fact have done this on a number of projects, refer to the photo attachment of a project in Jakarta, Indonesia "Wisma Bakri". ”

Stick System - Face Sealed System

- Mr.Peter Bouras ,Associate Director Facade , Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd. “ In this case the members can be sloped in all directions, and there really is not a terminology that can separate each, the façade systems is called "face sealed" systems which is a "stick" facade systems and rely on the sealant at all the joints to keep the water out. ”

FACADE STRUCTURE DESIGN

- Mr. Joe Rakchaiwan , Design Manager , Global Façade System Co.,Ltd “ Vertical structures and longer length are determined to be mullions. Horizontal structures are generally be transoms. The both structures can be sloped or design in any ways. ”
