The Rare Blakeslee Sideshaft Engines

The company is thought to have started in 1901 as Blakeslee Mfg. Co. of Birmingham, Al. Around 1905 the company was reorganized as WhiteBlakeslee Mfg. Co. In 1917 the company was purchased and re-named the American Blakeslee Mfg. Co. and continued to sell gas engines at least through 1919. There is vary little information known on the Blakeslee engines. At the show this year the only 3 engines known are here at the show on Engine Hill!
