The American-Southern Train was acquired from Marion, Illinois in 1971 and has been running at the show every year since! After over 40 years of service, the locomotive underwent extensive repairs to bring it back to its original splendor. And what a difference it has made! The engine hasn’t run as fast and smooth in years!

A new addition to the show the year before last is the gas locomotive purchased in 2020 from American Farm Heritage Railroad in Greenville, Illinois. Featuring a Wisconsin V4 engine, this train is similar to a streamliner. The addition of a gasoline powered train makes operation easier for new volunteers. The steam train is out for repairs this year.

The Thresherman happily invites all families to come and share in the excitement of riding the train! Rides will be $2 each.
